Perhaps I'm crazy but before I knew any better I thought that regular refrigerators would be just as good at maintaing wine quality as a dedicated wine cooler.
However, a regular fridge gets opened and closed a lot which upsets the temperature and therefore the constant temperature fluctuations can spoil the wine.
Another reason why normal coolers are not the best option is because the temperature is much cooler than the heat needed to store wine.
